Advancing African Youth 

Youth High-Level Summit on Global Responsibility and Policy Making

The Innovation Centre for Inclusive Growth (CIGA) recently co-hosted a transformative high-level youth summit titled “Advancing African Youth in Global Responsibility and Policy Making.” The event convened youth delegates from top tertiary institutions across Nigeria, including Lagos State University (LASU), Yaba College of Technology, the University of Lagos (Unilag), Covenant University, and Babcock University. Designed to empower and equip young leaders with the knowledge and tools to influence global policy and take on societal responsibilities, the summit attracted a dynamic audience eager to redefine Africa’s future.

The summit featured an impressive lineup of renowned speakers, including Emmanuel Etim, former presidential candidate; Wantoe Teah Wantoe, host and founder of The Centre for African Policy; Olufemi Sewanu Iroko, a youth development advocate; Jennifer J. Salau, founder of The Retention Concierge; Young Anyanwu, founder of ICPD; and Dr. Nimi Stephannie Ekere. These thought leaders shared powerful insights on youth empowerment, global policymaking, and leadership. Powered by The Centre for African Policy, DIO Consulting, and YiPA, the event was a testament to collaborative efforts in fostering a new generation of African leaders ready to take on global challenges with integrity, innovation, and responsibility.
